A Boil is one kind of skin disease or infection. A skin infection which begins in the oil glands or hair follicle is recognized as boil. Generally Boils infection of the skin is occured by Staphylococcus bacteria. It is also caused by the inflammation of hair follicles, resulting in the localized accumulation of pus and dead tissues. There are some treatments available in the medical for treating Boils and it can also be removed naturally by some home remedies.

Treating Boils Naturally at Home

Boils often emerge on the eyes, face, neck, armpits, shoulders and buttocks. A boil is shaped on the eye is known as a sty. Skin area that is affected becomes red. Staphylococcus aureus bacteria exist in your skin, throat, and nasal passages. Generally these bacteria enter through a break in the skin like scratch or cut. Because of this white blood cells rush to the scene fighting off infection, it leads to inflammation. After that it escorts to pus.

Symptoms of Boils

Symptoms of boils include red, pus-filled lumps that are tender, warm or painful. When the boil is planning to release pus, at the center of the lump yellow or white point can be seen. In some infections, the patient may suffer from fever and swollen lymph nodes. A recurring boil is called chronic furunculosis.

Boils are found on the back, underarms, shoulders, face, thighs and buttocks. It may be found somewhere else also. Sometimes boils will produce a distasteful smell particularly when it discharges pus.

Types of boils

Furuncle or carbuncle:

The situation of having chronic, recurring boils is called furunculosis or carbunculosis. When Individual boils can cluster jointly and form in network of boils that is known as carbuncles. It is group of hair follicles. A furuncle connected with a fever or chills and has one or more openings onto the skin.

Cystic acne:

When oil ducts become clogged and infected, this type of abscess is created. Comparing to inflammation from common acne, Cystic acne affects deeper skin tissue. It is the most observed on the face and usually occurs in the teenage years.

Hidradenitis suppurativa

Hidradenitis suppurativa is happened because of infected sweat glands. In this acne, there is no need for Surgery and antibiotics.

Pilonidal cysts

This boil takes place in the crease of the buttocks. It starts as small areas of infection in the bottom of the area of skin from which hair grows (the hair follicle). With direct pressure, over time the swollen area expands to become a firm, painful, and tender nodule. Because of this situation one cannot sit comfort.

Causes of Boils

Staphylococcus aureus or staph bacteria that normally lives on the skin surface and boils are caused due to this bacterial infection. This infection arises during bathing or while using a razor. People with diabetes, poor hygiene or malnutrition (Vitamin A or E deficiency), immune system disorders are particularly liable to getting boils. Healthy individuals also suffer from this situation. Hidradenitis suppurativa is also one of the reasons to frequent boils.

Treatment of boils at home

Garlic and Onion can be used:

Among numerous remedies, Garlic and Onions have been proved to be effective home remedy for boils treatment. Juices of both Garlic and Onion should be mixed in the same quantities and applied on the boil for cooperative results. This Juice is applied to ripen the boils break and abandon the pus.

Bitter Gourd:

To indulgence boils, 1 teaspoon of lime juice can be combined with one cup of bitter gourd juice. For few days, take a sip of this juice slowly on a blank stomach every day.

Milk Cream:

Milk cream is considered as useful remedy in the treatment of boils. For boils healing, apply a combination of a teaspoon each of milk cream and vinegar with a pinch of turmeric powder. Blood boils are ripen by using this and it helps to treat them without letting them become septic.

Turmeric:

Turmeric powder assists boils to ripen and burst. In case of fresh boils, roast little dry roots of turmeric and melt in the melt the ashes in a cupful of water than apply over the affected areas.

Parsley:

In the treatment of boil steep parsley in boiled water till it becomes soft and juicy. When it becomes hot, cover it in a clean muslin or linen cloth and apply it on the boils as a poultice.

Margosa Leaves:

Margosa leaves can be used as poultice or decoction with positive results. For preparing decoction, boil 15 gm of margosa leaves in 500 ml water till it is condensed by one-third.

Cumin Seeds:

Cumin seeds are helpful in the treatment of boils. Cumin seeds paste is prepared using water. This paste is applied to boils for favorable results.

How to avoid Boils

To prevent boils, you should follow these guidelines,

  • Protect skin from cuts Practice good hygiene.
  • Don’t prolong using medications that can weaken your immune system.
  • Thoroughly wash your hands after treating a boil.
  • Don’t wear tight clothing.
