Lassi is a very popular and traditional drink. It is sweet & Sour  yogurt based drink and mostly popular in India. Nowadays, traditional lassi is available in market which is sometimes flavored with ground roasted cumin. Simply, it is made from yogurt by blending it with water or milk and Indian spices Or dry fruits. Sweet lassi is also very popular and it is made from sugar or fruits instead of spices. Mango lassi is also one of the famous drinks among Pakistan/Indian people. With yoghurt and milk or water, mango pulp is necessary to make mango lassi. Due to the considerable Pakistani/Indian minority, mango lassi is widely available in UK, Malaysia and Singapore and in many other parts of the world. Mango lassi is a cold drink in various parts of Canada which consists of yoghurt, sweetened kesar mango pulp, cream, or ice cream. At Indian restaurants, mango lassi is a favorite drink. Mango lassi is serves in a tall glass with a straw and often garnished with pistachio nuts by sprinkling it on top.

Mango lassi recipe 1:

  • Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1 cup mango pulp
    • 1 cup plain yogurt
    • A dash of ground cardamom
    • 4 teaspoons sugar, to taste
  • Preparation:
    • Mix mango pulp, yogurt, milk, sugar and cardamom into a large bowl. Blend it for 2 minutes and then poured it into individual glasses. Sprinkle it with a little cardamom and then serve. For up to 24 hours, it can be kept refrigerated.

Mango lassi recipe 2:

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 cup yogurt
    • 2 cups mango pulp
    • 1 tablespoon chopped mint leaves
    • 3 tablespoons sugar
    • 6 to 10 ice cubes (As needed)
  • Preparation:
    • To make a puree, blend the mangoes, yogurt, and sugar. After that, add chopped mint leaves and ice cubes. The thickness of the lassi can be adjusted by you. Serve the lassi when it is in a chilled form.

Mango lassi recipe 3:

  • Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup fresh mango pulp
    • 1/3 cup cold water
    • 1 1/4 cups plain low-fat yogurt
    • 9 to 10 standard-size ice cubes
    • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (depending on how sweet you want it)
    • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Note: You can also use Canned or frozen mango by replacing fresh mango pulp.
  • Preparation:
    • If you use a fresh mango, then first peel it and remove the flesh from the pit and cut mango into small pieces. Add yogurt, lemon juice, mango pulp, water, and honey or sugar in a blender. Approximately, blend the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes or until a little forming in the mixture is seen. After that add ice and blend it until it becomes frothy.
